Web Application Development

Browser applications for work a spreadsheet has outgrown.

A web application is the default answer for most internal and customer-facing software, because there is nothing to install and a fix can ship the same day. We build them on the well-supported parts of the React and Node ecosystem, with attention to the interfaces people use all day.

Tools we work in

  • React
  • Next.js
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS
  • TanStack Query
  • PostgreSQL
  • Prisma
  • Redis

Scope

What this covers

The specific work included when you engage us for this service.

  • Server-rendered and single-page front ends in React and Next.js
  • Form-heavy interfaces with validation, drafts and clear error states
  • Authentication and role-based access for different kinds of user
  • File upload, document generation and export to spreadsheet or PDF
  • Search, filtering and pagination over large data sets
  • Progressive web app behaviour for offline and mobile use
  • Accessibility work: keyboard navigation, focus handling and screen reader support

What you receive

  • 01A deployed web application with separate testing and production environments
  • 02Automated tests covering the flows that carry the most risk
  • 03A component library and style guide so later screens stay consistent

Questions

Web Application Development, answered

Do we need a single-page app or server rendering?

Server rendering by default, because it loads faster, is easier to index and is easier to debug when something breaks. Client-side interactivity goes where a screen genuinely needs it. A pure single-page app is the right answer when the product is mostly a self-contained tool that sits behind a login and does not need to be found by search engines.

Can you work with our existing design?

Yes. We implement against Figma files, an existing brand guide or a live site, and we will flag where a design is expensive to build or awkward to use rather than quietly building something different. If there is no design, we can produce a simple interface specification and build from that.

A 30-minute call. We map the process, tell you what we would automate or build first, and what it costs. No retainer before you agree the scope.
