AI & Automation
AI Automation Engineer
You will build the automations and agent systems our clients run their operations on: n8n and Make workflows, tool-using LLM agents, retrieval over a client's own documents, and the integrations holding it together. The work is judged on steps removed, not on workflows shipped.

What you will do
- Scope a process with a client, then write down the exact steps a system will replace
- Build n8n, Make and Zapier workflows that survive a bad API response, not just the happy path
- Ship LLM agents with tool calls, guardrails and a retrieval layer grounded in client documents
- Write the error handling, retries and alerting that let a workflow run without supervision
- Hand over documentation and a runbook, then stay on the account long enough to fix what breaks
What we are looking for
- Working knowledge of n8n, Make or Zapier, with at least one workflow you shipped and can explain
- Comfortable with JavaScript or Python for the parts a visual node cannot do
- Able to read an API's documentation and get a working integration out of it
- Understands token cost, latency and failure modes well enough to make the trade-off out loud
- Based in the United States and able to work US hours
What we offer
- Remote within the United States, with a Montana headquarters
- Direct ownership of client systems rather than tickets passed down a queue
- Time budgeted for writing the documentation, not only the build
- Exposure to paid media, e-commerce and healthcare work if you want to specialise
