What you will do
- Prepare and submit clean claims with the correct coding and payer requirements
- Work the denial queue: appeal, correct, resubmit, and record the outcome
- Follow up on aged receivables and escalate claims that are stalling
- Post payments and reconcile them against each remittance advice
- Keep patient and claim data inside approved systems and channels only
What we are looking for
- Experience with US medical billing, including CPT and ICD-10 basics
- Familiarity with at least one practice management or clearinghouse platform
- Understands HIPAA requirements for handling protected health information
- Comfortable on the phone with payers, with a spreadsheet open at the same time
- Based in the United States and able to work US business hours
